By the way, the interpretation of Orlando must be noted, since he has managed to get rid of, at least in most of the film, that air of excess that he dragged from Legolas.Īfter the presentation and a series of events that will mark, for better or for worse, the course of the film, an interesting story begins that will take us from an undetermined place in Europe (That I remember is not mentioned) to Messina (On the coasts of Italy), where Baliant, after being knighted and new Baron of Ibelin by his dying father, will meet his enemy for the rest of history, Guy de Lusignan (played by Marton Csokas), the arrogant husband of the princess of Jerusalem. , a character played by Neeson (Curious the phrase with which Baliant learns that Godfrey is his father …). The film begins with some interesting shots of what is supposed to be a burial, at least until a group of characters appear, led by Liam Neeson, who will attract our attention and will be the presentation of Orlando’s character, Baliant, the son of Godfrey. The point is that, with difficulty, I managed to put aside my prejudices and I decided to see it, and without hesitation, I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised, since I liked it more than I expected … On Friday afternoon, just at the first session, I went to the cinema to see Ridley Scott’s latest film, The Kingdom of Heaven, not too convinced that I was going to like it, remembering Gladiator and above all, the Legolas trail that follows Orlando Bloom in films of this type since he acted in The Lord of the rings.
